A triangular pennant, on a golden ground the black eagle of the coat-of-arms in the center; in the canton the number of the division in black arabic numerals and the letter D, e.g. '7.D.'. There were seven (infantry) divisions; as an example I show the 7th, as this was based in Munich. Source: Dreyhaupt 2000 [drh00].
